Tilted Inc. was founded by Nik Steele in 2952 when he realized there was a severe lack in private sector protection. The UEE's Laissez-Faire attitude in the Stanton System led to the growth of multiple criminal factions that threatened to shut down all major trade in the system. He, along with some of his friends, pooled their credits and bought an Aegis Hammerhead Corvette, selling their protection services as guns-for hire. As the years went by and their reputation grew, so did their crew. Today, they run one of the best protection services in the system. No job is too big or small for their members, who train regularly to keep their skills sharp.

In an effort to remain one of the biggest players in the game, Tilted has expanded their operations beyond contracting. They now mine and explore the far reaches in order to expand their influence across the galaxy.
